What have I been up to?

I am sitting in a coffee shop with really nothing else to do and thought, "Hey I should put up a new post!"

I am using my day off to get away. It is absolutely beautiful outside today. I left the ranch and just started driving down the rural highways across the flat farmland. It was a great drive with the windows rolled down and rocking out to Mark Driscoll preaching the word!! Alright, it may not be the first thing on one's playlist of for a beautiful day's drive, but that's me!!! It is near perfect right now. It is 67 degrees out and sunny!! I really should get outside and participate in the day.

Life has been going pretty well. Things at the ranch are starting to get a little hectic as we prepare for the big Auction. It is about six weeks away and I am starting to get a taste of what craziness awaits me!! I look forward to seeing how the auction operates and the benefit we will receive from the generosity of others.

I have been helping out more at church. The youth pastor Mark is a pleasure to work with and has become a great friend. It has been awesome getting to know some of the youth and really begin to invest in their lives. Speaking of which, my buddy Josh was saved on Sunday. He is a guy who graduated from the program but was not able to go home. He lives up stairs with me and the other staff guys. He had really been talking about God here recently and would always be open to having God conversations (EDITOR'S NOTE: The previous sentence has been edited and the grammar fail that occurred has been fixed). God really broke his heart Sunday night and Josh realized his need for a Savior! Praise the Lord!!

I am starting to learn the bass. I am not as far along as I should be but am noticing improvements. I am excited to learn this new skill and hopefully one day actually be able to play an instument!! The funny thing is that I am already in a band. The band name is Remember LaRae. I am technically the band manager until I learn the bass. Then I will be the bassist!!

Well I have more i want to talk about, but the coffee shop is closing up. So I gotta get off the computer.

Adam "Mad Dog" Godfrey

p.s. more on the new nickname next time!!

Can I add something? Oh, I can? Thanks!
Bassist, your life is a great example of Christ! Don't let it get to your head(I know it won't). It is Christ who works in you to display Himself. Keep seeking His will and as we sit in the middle of endless cornfields, remember...the harvest is ripe!
